Jawad Qureshi, MD is a compassionate, talented, fellowship trained, board certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. With his surgical expertise, he is highly skilled at performing the latest surgical techniques for retina detachment repair, macular pathology (holes, membranes, edema) and many other vitreoretinal procedures. Dr. Qureshi also treats a full range of medical retina problems like diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
With a strong academic background from Duke University (Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Medicine, and Master of Business Administration), Dr. Qureshi began on a rewarding path to help improve patients’ lives by improving their sight. He had the privilege of doing his residency training at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he developed a foundation for excellence in eye care. His fellowship training was at the Duke University Eye Center, a top surgical retina fellowship, where he was awarded the Hornaday Fellow Award for excellence in clinical care, ethics, and research.
